Hi, this is Tatsu!
In this article, I’ll walk you through the latest update on how to enter Fantasy Springs, the brand-new themed area at Tokyo DisneySea that’s getting a lot of attention right now.
If you’re thinking, “Wait, the rules changed again?” — don’t worry!
Starting April 1, 2025, the process is actually getting simpler and more guest-friendly.
✅ [Point 1] From April 1, 2025: Anyone can enter Fantasy Springs freely!

Until now, you needed one of the following to enter Fantasy Springs:
- Standby Pass (free, obtained via the Tokyo Disney Resort app)
- 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic (paid, for select hotel guests only)
It was a bit complicated, right? And to make matters worse, the Standby Pass could run out quickly, leaving many guests disappointed…
But starting April 1, 2025, if you’ve entered Tokyo DisneySea, you can now freely enter Fantasy Springs — no special pass required! 🎉

No more staring at your phone early in the morning to get a Standby Pass!
Once you’re inside Tokyo DisneySea, you can head straight to Fantasy Springs and start enjoying the magic!
🔁 [Point 2] Standby Pass and Special Passport have been discontinued

For more information 👉 Standby Pass (Official Page)
Here’s how the system has changed:
Before (Until March 31, 2025) | From April 1, 2025 |
---|---|
Standby Pass required | Not required (Free access) |
Special Passport required | No longer available |
App reservation was required | No reservation needed |
- The Standby Pass was officially discontinued on April 1, 2025.
- The 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic was available only through March 31, 2025.
Thanks to this change, visiting Fantasy Springs has become much easier and less stressful!
🎢 [Point 3] Attractions are now available via regular standby lines!

Here’s another exciting update — you can now ride Fantasy Springs attractions by simply lining up in the standby queue, just like in other areas of the park!
No more Standby Pass or special ticket is required to enjoy the new rides.
This makes the area more accessible than ever, but it also means that queues may get quite long, especially during busy hours.
⚠️ [Important] Entry is easier, but it won’t always be smooth sailing!
Starting April 2025, you can now freely enter Fantasy Springs and even enjoy the attractions by simply lining up — no special pass needed! 🎢
This is a big win for many guests!
However, Fantasy Springs is still one of the most popular areas in Tokyo DisneySea, and with more guests able to access the attractions, long wait times are expected — especially during peak hours.

Try visiting early in the morning or near park closing time when the area tends to be less crowded.
For families with small children or anyone trying to avoid long lines, using Disney Premier Access (paid) for key attractions is highly recommended.
⚠️ [Important] Anyone can enter… but it may not always be smooth!
Sure, Fantasy Springs is now open to everyone — but don’t forget: this is one of the most popular areas in the entire park.
At peak times, you can expect long lines and heavy crowds.

Try visiting early in the morning or later in the evening when it tends to be less crowded.
If you’re with a stroller or small kids, avoiding peak times will help you enjoy the area more comfortably! 👶🕊️
🍴 [Heads-Up] Dining in Fantasy Springs comes with special conditions

Source: Fantasy Springs Restaurant (Tokyo Disney Resort Official)
The Fantasy Springs Restaurant, located within the area, is primarily for guests staying at the Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel.
However, depending on the day, other guests who have entered Tokyo DisneySea may be allowed to dine here.
That said, non-hotel guests are not permitted to enter other parts of the hotel, so if you want to try the restaurant, you must enter from the Fantasy Springs side — not through the hotel.

If the restaurant is one of your must-do spots, check with a Cast Member on the day of your visit!
Since availability can change daily, have a backup plan just in case 🍽️✨
📝 [Summary] Easier access, but smart planning is still important!
With this update, entering Fantasy Springs has become much easier and more accessible for everyone.
However, since no special pass is required anymore, it’s even more important to plan your visit carefully — especially when it comes to crowd control and attraction strategies.
In the next article, I’ll guide you through the best ways to enjoy the attractions, including how to use Disney Premier Access efficiently!
