🎢 Breaking News: You Can Line Up for Fantasy Springs Starting April 2025!
Until now, access to Fantasy Springs has been limited to guests staying at the official Fantasy Springs Hotel, those who purchased Premier Access, or those lucky enough to secure a free Standby Pass for one of the new attractions.
🎉 But starting in April 2025, Tokyo DisneySea will finally offer regular standby (first-come, first-served) lines for Fantasy Springs attractions!
This is fantastic news for visitors who weren’t able to stay at the hotel or obtain a Standby Pass. From Spring 2025, any guest with a valid park ticket can line up and enjoy the magical new area—no hotel stay or paid access required!

It’s great that all four attractions will be available to guests in standby! I think families especially will appreciate having more options without needing special passes.

🛎️ Important Update Starting April 2025
From April 2025, all Fantasy Springs attractions will be available in just two ways:
- ✅ Standby (regular line) – Free and open to all guests
- 💳 Disney Premier Access – Paid option to skip the line
Free Standby Passes and special ticketed entry (like lottery systems or bundled hotel packages) will end completely by March 31, 2025.
That means starting April, you’ll either line up like a traditional queue or pay to reserve a time slot with Premier Access.
This change gives guests more flexibility and transparency when planning their visit—no more relying on luck or exclusive access!

I think this new system will make things easier to understand, especially for families and international guests. Simple choices—line up or use Premier Access—are much more manageable than lotteries or complicated passes.
🪧 On-Site Signage Now Shows Standby & Premier Access Lanes!
Even before the official change in April 2025, the park has already begun preparing for the transition. At the entrances to Fantasy Springs attractions, you can now spot signboards clearly labeled with the two types of access:
- ✅ Standby – for guests who wish to line up
- 💳 Premier Access – for guests using the paid skip-the-line service
This signage is designed to help first-time visitors and international guests easily understand where to go. The color-coded signs and paths will ensure smooth entry once the new system begins in April 2025.

Signage for both Standby and Premier Access can now be seen at the entrance of Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure.
🙋♂️ Also worth noting: Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure now has signage for Single Rider access! This is a great option for solo guests or those who don’t mind riding separately to save time.
While Disney has not officially confirmed when the Single Rider system will start, the signage strongly suggests that it could become available soon—so keep an eye out!
🎯 If you’re planning to visit in or after April, it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the two entry types before arriving!

I’m really glad to see Disney preparing for the future with these signs. The addition of a Single Rider option is especially exciting—it’ll help reduce wait times for many guests.
📌 Standby vs Premier Access — What’s the Difference?
Starting April 2025, all Fantasy Springs attractions will have two types of entrances. To help you decide which one is right for you, here’s a simple breakdown:
Entry Type | What It Means | Good For… | Cost |
---|---|---|---|
✅ Standby | Traditional queue — wait your turn in line | Guests with more time / no extra budget | Free |
💳 Premier Access | Paid access — choose a time and skip the line | Families, short visits, must-rides | Paid (via app) |
🎯 Knowing the difference will help you maximize your time—especially during busy days or if you’re visiting with children.

When I visit with the kids, I often choose Premier Access for at least one must-do ride. It really helps when you’re trying to keep the day running smoothly without long waits!
🧍♂️ What Is Standby?
“Standby” is the traditional way to enjoy attractions — you simply line up in person and wait your turn. No reservations, no apps required.
This method is free and available to all guests with a valid park ticket. It works on a first-come, first-served basis, so the earlier you get in line, the better your chances — especially for popular attractions.
⏳ On busy days, you may need to wait 120 to 180 minutes (2 to 3 hours) for the most popular rides, like Frozen Journey or Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure. Lines tend to peak in the morning and early afternoon.
🕐 We recommend checking the Tokyo Disney Resort app or in-park signage for real-time wait times throughout the day.
💡 Pro Tip: If you’re on a tight schedule or visiting with small children, consider using Disney Premier Access for at least one attraction to avoid long waits.

Realistically, I think guests should be prepared for 2 to 3 hours of waiting during peak times—especially in the first months after opening. That’s why understanding how standby works is so important before you go.
💳 What Is Disney Premier Access?

Use Disney Premier Access to enjoy top attractions and shows with shorter wait times.
Disney Premier Access is a paid service that lets you skip the regular standby line by selecting a specific time to ride via the official Tokyo Disney Resort app.
🎫 You’ll need to purchase Premier Access for each person in your group. Prices vary by attraction and day, but typically range between ¥1,500–¥2,500 per ride.
It’s a great option for:
- 🕛 Guests with limited time
- 👶 Families with young children
- 🎂 Special occasions or must-do rides
- ☀️ Hot or rainy days when waiting in line is tough
📱 You can purchase Premier Access on the Tokyo Disney Resort app after entering the park. Be quick—slots can sell out fast, especially in the morning!
💡 Pro Tip: Combine one or two Premier Access rides with Standby to balance budget and comfort.

As a mom, I really appreciate Premier Access—especially with little ones. It helps us avoid long waits and enjoy more attractions as a family, without the stress of standing in line for hours.
💳 When Should You Use Premier Access?

Wondering if Premier Access is right for you? Check the table below!
Here are the top 6 situations where Premier Access can make your Disney day smoother and more magical:
📝 Situation | 💡 Why Premier Access Helps |
---|---|

💡 Tip: You don’t have to use Premier Access for every ride. Just one or two can make a big difference!

We used Premier Access when our toddler was too tired to wait—and it saved the day! It’s especially helpful during hot afternoons or special celebrations.
⚠️ What About Crowds? Entry Limits & Smart Tips

Expect large crowds around the Fantasy Springs entrance, especially in the morning hours.
Fantasy Springs is expected to become one of the busiest areas in Tokyo DisneySea, especially in the months after it opens to all guests in April 2025.
🧭 Will There Be Entry Limits?
Yes, there is a possibility that capacity limits or timed entry may be used during peak periods. Tokyo Disney Resort has used this strategy in the past for new lands and attractions.
🕐 Peak Crowd Times
- 🌅 Early Morning (Park Opening ~ 10:30 AM)
Many guests rush to the area first thing in the morning. - 🎡 Midday (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Standby lines usually peak during this time. - 🌆 Evening (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
Guests who saved Fantasy Springs for last may crowd in before close.
✅ Tips to Avoid the Crowds
- ⏰ Arrive Early – Be near the Fantasy Springs entrance before park opening.
- 💳 Use Premier Access – Secure your ride slot without needing to rush or wait.
- 📱 Check Live Wait Times – Use the Tokyo Disney Resort app to track crowd levels.
- 🌥 Visit During Off-Peak Days – Weekdays outside of school holidays are less crowded.
💡 Tip: If you want to enter Fantasy Springs without stress, planning ahead is your best bet!

I’ve seen how busy new lands can get. Even with standby open, I think some soft restrictions or natural congestion will still happen. Enter early and prioritize your must-dos.
